Found in Northwestern New Mexico, the La Ventana (Spanish for ”The Window”) Natural Arch sits in a small box canyon along Highway 117. A natural formation of erosion, the temperature swings caused weaknesses in the rock which formed the cliff. These weak areas fell away over time, leaving an archway of sandstone that spans the top of the 200-foot tall face.
